Adults are obsolete children-Dr.Seuss.
If you are a twenty-something, you can’t agree more to the above-mentioned gem. You might be stressed, depressed but still well dressed. The constant battle between the mind and the heart, the persistent struggle to prove yourself, the never-ending rat race, the what’s next, the unavoidable responsibilities, the unrequited love, the betrayals, the heartbreaks, that unexplainable feeling of helplessness, above all that strong desire to take a break from reality!
Those sleepless nights and those random thoughts and dreams and above all the what IFs and BUTs. All the could have, would have but didn’t moments. Yes, you wish you had a rewind button in real life to change your lifetime mistakes or so-called lifetime decisions.Hmmm, IF only things were that easy, life would have been a cake walk, isn’t it? But the best part of life is learning it the hard way 🙂 So yeah, it’s completely okay to have self-condemnation.
But it’s about that thin line between self-condemnation and self-hatred. So put yourself first, the rest can wait. Don’t give up on your no-nonsense dreams.Live life your way.Sometimes or most of the times what you want will not be what you need.Follow your heart but also make sure you take your mind along with it 😉 Do whatever you need to have that inner peace and happiness. After all, self-love is the best gift anyone can get.
Life happens only once and time just flies while life is falling apart. So when it comes to living your dreams, the pragmatic non-fairy tale dreams, let it be ‘ it’s my way or the highway’. The right ones will tag along your way when it’s the right way 🙂
